IRD Server - Hilton El Conquistador
Scope of Position
The In-Room Dining Server is responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience within the comfort and privacy of guest rooms. This position ensures prompt, accurate, and courteous service of all food and beverage orders while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, safety, and presentation. The ideal candidate anticipates guest needs, upholds brand standards, and represents the hotel with professionalism and warmth at every interaction.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in food and beverage service, ideally in a hotel or resort setting.
Must meet the minimum legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
Alcohol awareness and/or food handler certification as required by state or local regulations.
Physical Demands
Long or irregular hours may be required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull room service trays, carts, and supplies.
Must be able to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout the shift.

Essential Responsibilities
Greet guests with warmth and professionalism when delivering or retrieving in-room dining orders.
Accurately take guest orders via phone or digital system, ensuring complete and correct information is recorded.
Prepare and arrange trays or carts according to established service standards.
Deliver orders promptly, announcing items clearly and confirming guest satisfaction.
Handle guest requests, special dietary needs, and additional orders courteously and efficiently.
Retrieve trays and carts in a timely manner to maintain cleanliness in guest hallways.
Present checks, process payments accurately, and follow all cash-handling and credit card procedures.
Maintain full knowledge of menus, daily specials, and hotel offerings to assist guests with recommendations.
Communicate guest preferences, feedback, or issues to management or relevant departments.
Keep service stations, pantries, and equipment stocked, organized, and sanitary.
Follow all food safety and alcohol service guidelines.
Uphold guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
