Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years ER RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A registered nurse with Emergency Room (ER) experience is needed for a contract role in Phoenix, AZ, at a nationally recognized 607-bed tertiary care and teaching hospital. This Level 1 trauma center is known for specialties including lung, liver, and kidney transplants, as well as its association with a world-leading neuro institute. The facility is a teaching hospital and often works with nursing students.

Qualifications / Desired Experience

• Active RN license with at least 2 years of core ER experience
• Level 1 trauma and teaching hospital experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience in ER or Neuro ICU
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR system in an Emergency Department setting
• Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam completed successfully within 24-48 hours prior to acceptance (max 2 attempts)
• Must comply with facility policies: no facial piercings, natural hair colors only
• Travel teams require own transportation; parking and shuttle provided
• Candidates must not hold concurrent contracts within the same health system and have a 12-month gap if previously permanent staff there

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency room
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing students
• Adhere to established protocols and standards of care for trauma patients
• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management

Schedule and Contract Details

• Contract duration: minimum 13 weeks
• Weekly orientation sessions on Mondays (except holidays)
• Strict onboarding completion by 1pm CST Wednesday prior to start date
