Pharmacy Supervisor Job Details

• Location: Peridot, Arizona 85542 (Arizona pharmacy jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital pharmacy
• Employment Type: Travel pharmacy job
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 29, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 14 weeks
• Schedule: 5 shifts/week, 8-hour shifts (flexible days and hours)
• Estimated Weekly Hours: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $3120 - $3200

Pharmacy Supervisor Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred (1-year residency preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of professional pharmacy experience, including at least 2 years in pharmacy management or supervisory roles
• 2+ years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Current and valid state Pharmacy license required (Arizona pharmacy license preferred)
• BLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
• Ability to pass background and drug screening
• Licensed to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications preferred

Pharmacy Supervisor Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct daily hospital pharmacy operations to ensure high-quality clinical support and pharmacy services
• Develop and monitor operational and financial outcome measures, integrating with hospital-wide quality improvement systems
• Implement and evaluate pharmacy department policies and procedures
• Lead continuous process improvement initiatives for pharmacy operations
• Supervise, mentor, and develop pharmacy staff, providing feedback and supporting professional growth
• Oversee pharmacy information and medication dispensing systems for efficiency and accuracy
• Manage purchasing and inventory to ensure cost-effective and timely availability of pharmaceuticals
• Coordinate staff training, orientation, and quality assurance programs
• Prepare monthly operational reports and identify areas for improvement
• Participate in hospital educational programs to maintain current pharmacy skills and competencies
• Perform other pharmacy-related duties as assigned
