Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

• Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 (Arizona nursing jobs)
• Facility: Community Hospital, Certified Chest Pain Center, Level 3 Trauma Center
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown (IMC/PCU) – Intermediate Care/Progressive Care Unit
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Nursing Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 09/08/2025 – End: 12/08/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed weekly hours)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910–$1960 per week
• Call Requirements: Yes
• Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 or 1:3
• Electronic Health Record: Medhost

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (travel nursing experience required)
• Clinical experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Intermediate Care (IMC), or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings
• Current BLS, ACLS, and other certifications as required for cardiac nursing roles
• Ability to float to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as needed
• Strong clinical assessment, cardiac monitoring, and critical thinking skills

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiac Stepdown (IMC/PCU) unit
• Monitor and manage patients with cardiac and complex conditions, including STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, COPD, Sepsis, CABG (post-op day 2), Acute Respiratory Failure, Atrial Fibrillation with RVR, ALIF, and EXLIF
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Medhost EHR
• Float to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as needed, including supporting ED holds for admissions
• Participate in call rotation as required for locum tenens nursing staff
