Industry leading environmental remediation contractor seeks highly-skilled hazmat working field supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Execute and manage health and safety requirements associated with projects
• Understand safety protocols and procedures to facilitate a safe work environment
• Capable of safely and proficiently perform emergency spill response activities such as chemical spills, tank cleaning, decontamination, etc.
• Handling of hazardous waste and hazardous materials
• Industrial tank & sump cleaning
• Collect samples

Requirements:

• HAZWOPER Certification – Initial 40 hour and current 8 hour refresher (preferred or an employer-paid path will be provided)
• Valid driver’s license
• Flexible schedule consistent with 24/7/365 on call rotation including weekends/holidays as needed
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Must be able to complete reports accurately, demonstrate superior attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Safety-sensitive position subject to drug and alcohol testing, including ongoing random testing
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Ability to adapt to changing work conditions, use good judgment and make sound decisions
