POSITION: FRONT DESK CLERK
DEPARTMENT: HOTEL
REPORTS TO: FRONT OFFICE MANAGER

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be age 21 or older
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Must qualify for a gaming license
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to communicate in the primary language used in the workplace (English)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to stand for long periods and have good finger dexterity
  • Experience working at a hotel front desk required
  • Must be able to work weekends, graveyard shifts, holidays, and nights

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Perform all arrival and departure procedures
  • Manage proper guest payment methods and verifying credit card data per hotel standards
  • Provide information about the hotel, restaurant, lounge, and casino to guests
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payment requirements
  • Communicate all pertinent shift information to direct manager and desk staff
  • Maintain room status inventory
  • Respond to guest concerns/needs in a timely and professional manner
  • Communicate with housekeeping staff to ensure guest rooms are clean and ready before pre-blocking or guest arrival
  • Answer the front desk phones in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain a sense of discretion and confidentiality
  • Other duties as assigned

Each employee is expected to make every effort to be well-informed about the casino, pleasant, courteous, and cooperative, and to act in a manner to command the respect of co-workers and all other personnel. An optimistic attitude, patience and tolerance will help each employee in nearly all situations at the casino.
