This position is full time, Rotating Monday - Friday and Monday - Thursday . Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours during training will be 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday - Friday.

**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Reviews electronic chart documentation ensuring correct patient, location, and no duplicate information.
+ Processes release of information (ROI) requests.
+ Manages requests for documentation and information.
+ Scans and edits documents in the electronic medical record.
+ Locates, logs, retrieves, files, and delivers medical records stored in various mediums and systems.
+ May train and mentor co-workers.
+ Analyzes documentation and tracks completion to meet regulatory requirements.
+ Promotes principles of health information accuracy, transparency, currency, accessibility, relevancy, and reliability.
+ Work with Microsoft Word, Excel (create, edit, save documents and spreadsheets) and Outlook (email and calendar management)
+ Other duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
+ Must be 18 years of age OR older
+ 1+ years of customer service experience within a hospital or healthcare environment
+ Experience with Microsoft Office products
+ Ability to train for the first four weeks from 8:00am - 4:30pm CST, Monday - Friday
+ Ability to work full time, Rotating Monday - Friday and Monday - Thursday . Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Health Information Management (HIM) experience
+ Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
+ Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
+ Clerical or administrative support background
+ 2+ years of customer service experience
+ Experience working in a call center
+ RHIT or RHIA certification
+ Knowledge of medical terminology
+ Experience communicating with patients & staff with various educational & socio-economic backgrounds
**Telecommuting Requirements:**
+ Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
+ Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
+ Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
