Azure Data Engineer

Work you'll do/Responsibilities

As a Project Delivery Specialist(PDS) at Deloitte, you will work within an engagement team and be responsible for supporting the overall project goals and objectives. In this role, you will interact with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. It is expected that you will be able to perform independent tasks as well as provide technical guidance to team members, as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• 6+ years hands-on experience designing and implementing data solutions on Azure
• Proven proficiency with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for building and orchestrating ETL/ELT pipelines
• Deep knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2) architecture, including data organization, security, and optimization
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or Azure SQL Database for data warehousing and analytics
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Scala for data transformation and pipeline development
• Advanced SQL capabilities for complex data manipulation and optimization
• Proficiency in version control (Git) and CI/CD practices for data pipelines
• Understanding of data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, data vault, etc.)

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
• Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred

• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate)
• Analytical/ Decision Making Responsibilities

• Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products
• Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
• Excellent Written and Communication Skills
• Ability to deliver technical demonstrations
