This is a remote position; however, preference will be given to candidates located in Austin, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Atlanta, GA, Reno, NV, Grand Rapids, MI, or Las Vegas, NV. This position may require periodic travel to the locations listed above for site visits, project meetings, and team collaboration.

Job Description:

Meade has a job opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer III to be an integral member of our design team. The scope of projects will include data centers, industrial buildings, offices and other high-profile construction projects. This role will be highly collaborative amongst Meade staff, clients, vendors, and external disciplines. Travel to job sites may be required for site observations and client meetings.

Job Duties:

• Independently drive projects forward throughout design and construction phases.
• Design mechanical and plumbing systems for data centers.
• Oversee the production of all mechanical designs, systems and drawings.
• Work amongst a cross-discipline design team, owners, and contractors to develop drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with external vendors, internal design teams and manufacturers.
• Major equipment selection and scheduling.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Professional Mechanical Engineering design experience designing mechanical systems for data centers or other mission critical projects favorable.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Valid Mechanical Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (will consider Engineer in Training certification).
• Experience working independently, and managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and energy codes.
• Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives.
• Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team.
• Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit.
