Mechanical Sheet Metal Assembler – Data Center Infrastructure (1st Shift)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $22 per hour
Join our dynamic data center infrastructure team as a Mechanical Sheet Metal Assembler. In this role, you will be instrumental in assembling, installing, and modifying precision sheet metal components that support critical mechanical systems, enclosures, and structural frameworks within high-performance data centers. Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and verbal instructions to accurately assemble sheet metal parts.
- Install mechanical enclosures, cable trays, HVAC ducting, and structural support elements in data center environments.
- Operate hand tools, drills, riveters, and other basic fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure all assemblies meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials, maintaining organized and efficient workstations.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and other tradespeople to ensure smooth project flow.
- Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards, maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly, sheet metal work, or related fields preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical drawings, layout plans, and blueprint reading.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools and fundamental power tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks safely.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and a proactive work attitude.
- Flexibility to work varying hours and adapt to shifting project requirements.
- Experience in data center or industrial environments is a plus.
- Certification in sheet metal work or mechanical assembly.
- Familiarity with data center infrastructure components, including server racks and cooling systems.
- Forklift or scissor lift certification is advantageous.
