Job Description

Hadrian - Manufacturing the Future

Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies manufacture rockets, satellites, jets, and ships up to 10x faster and up to 2x cheaper. By combining advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing, we are reinventing how America produces its most critical parts.

We recently raised $260 million dollar Series C to accelerate this mission. We are excited to be launching a new Factory in Mesa, Arizona, a 270,000 square foot facility that will create 350 new jobs immediately. We are opening a new headquarters to support thousands of future hires, launching Hadrian Maritime to serve naval production, and introducing a Factory-as-a-Service model that delivers complete systems instead of individual parts.

Hadrian works with startups, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and major defense contractors across space, shipbuilding, and aviation to scale production, reduce costs, and accelerate delivery on mission-critical programs. We are backed by leading investors including Lux Capital, Founders Fund, and Andreessen Horowitz. Our fast-growing team is united by a shared mission to reindustrialize American manufacturing for the 21st century and beyond!

The Role

The mission of Hadrian’s Workforce Development & Knowledge team is to create the next generation of manufacturing talent within a challenging, equitable, and meritocratic environment.

Factory 3 is a major milestone in Hadrian’s growth and will add five times more CNC capacity to Hadrian’s offering, and scale complex processes such as mill-turn, off-machine complex deburring, and advanced quality inspection methods. The Training Program Lead is responsible for all workforce development activities in Hadrian’s Factory 3, including design, ramp-up, and continued execution of training system. They will be responsible for driving adoption of every new and updated processes; eventually steadily maturing the site’s production performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement a comprehensive training program across all F3 departments and specialties, with routines that accelerate skill development while ensuring adherence to specifications—even during high-volume technician onboarding.

  • Oversee training operations to maintain learning velocity and process maturity in a fast-growing environment, taking a hands-on approach to adopt new processes, coach team members, and ensure flawless execution on the shop floor.

  • Manage the introduction of new capabilities without compromising process integrity during rapid production scale-up.

  • Hire, schedule, and develop Training Program Specialists to ensure training capacity meets factory growth; align closely with the F3 General Manager to coordinate headcount and labor scheduling with training needs.

  • Collaborate with engineers and programmers to incorporate in-house expertise into advanced technical apprenticeship design.

  • Lead and develop the Training Program Specialist team; oversee training plans that balance on-the-job coaching with off-the-job instruction, and validate training processes across all areas.

  • Maintain a world-class learning environment grounded in fairness and pedagogical best practices; mentor trainers to adapt to diverse learning styles and keep engagement high.

  • Continuously update training methods for increasingly technical content, ensuring theoretical instruction leads to practical outcomes.

  • Track process velocity and quality metrics; partner with the central Workforce Development & Knowledge team and subject matter experts to evolve training content, improve maturity indices, and reduce labor cost per unit.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years running fast-paced training programs (e.g., high-growth manufacturing or quick-service restaurant launches).

  • Proven record of coaching trainers, auditing process adherence, and accelerating training speed.

  • Experience with workforce analytics and cost forecasting.

  • Ability to plug into recruiting and labor-planning workflows.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Background in aerospace manufacturing, machining, or any sort of technical industrial training

Benefits

  • 100% coverage of platinum medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees

  • 401k

  • Flexible vacation policy
