Quality Control ManagerICON Electric
Location: Phoenix, AZ (local travel to jobsites)
Reports To: President / Operations Leadership
ICON Electric is seeking a QA/QC Manager to standardize quality, improve consistency in field execution, and protect ICON's reputation as the business continues to grow. This is a hands-on, field-facing leadership role that partners closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and field crews to ensure work is performed safely, compliantly, and right the first time .
This is not a desk-only position . The QA/QC Manager will be visible on jobsites, engaged early in project lifecycles, and accountable for helping teams meet ICON's quality standards while reducing rework, inspection issues, and callbacks.
Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish, implement, and enforce ICON's electrical QA/QC standards across all projects
Conduct regular jobsite audits and inspections to ensure compliance with NEC, project specifications, and customer requirements
Partner with Superintendents and Project Managers to identify quality issues and drive timely corrective action
Lead root cause analysis for defects, failed inspections, rework, and recurring quality issues
Support inspection readiness and interface with AHJs, inspectors, and customers as needed
Develop and maintain QA/QC documentation, checklists, and reporting tools
Identify training gaps and collaborate with leadership on field training and development initiatives
Reinforce a culture of accountability, safety, and craftsmanship across the organization
Serve as a technical and quality resource for field leadership and project teams
10+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical construction
Strong working knowledge of the NEC, electrical drawings, and installation best practices
Prior experience as a QA/QC Manager, Superintendent, Foreman, or Project Manager
Proven ability to work effectively with field teams and operational leadership
Comfortable addressing quality issues directly, professionally, and constructively
Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain)
Valid driver's license with ability to travel locally to jobsites
Fewer inspection failures and callbacks
Reduced rework and quality-related schedule impacts
Clear, consistent quality expectations across all crews
Strong working relationships with field leadership, inspectors, and customers
Increased confidence in ICON's execution from both internal teams and clients
