Key Qualifications:

• Valid Arizona Secondary Teaching License
• Current K-12 Special Education Certificate
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Experience supporting students with emotional disabilities and a variety of eligibilities
• Familiarity with at-risk, limited English proficient, and exceptional students’ needs
• Solid knowledge of federal, state, and local special services guidelines
• Proven track record developing and implementing IEPs and related documentation
• E.E.E.I. training (or willingness to participate in staff development)
• Prepared to work onsite in a dynamic and supportive school environment

Position Responsibilities:

• Teach and lead self-contained special education classes within behavior and autism support
• Foster positive social and self-regulation skills in students
• Develop, document, and implement individualized educational and behavioral plans
• Collaborate with families, staff, and other professionals to meet student needs
• Remain current on best practices and compliance requirements
• Participate in ongoing professional development as required
