1582 Medical, located in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients while demonstrating empathy and care. We are looking for an Ultrasound Technologist with registry exams in Abdomen and Vascular. This position will be conducting Non-Diagnostic Screenings for Healthy Public Safety Members to identify areas of concern for further evaluation by their PCP .

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures with a strong focus on patient safety, comfort, and understanding.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions or concerns.
• Position patients correctly to obtain accurate images, utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Analyze images and data for quality control and ensure that they meet the necessary diagnostic criteria.
• Collaborate with our physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely interpretation of results.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update necessary documentation, adhering to confidentiality and privacy regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ultrasound examination room, equipment, and supplies.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in ultrasound technology, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in maintaining accreditation standards.
• Ideally, we are looking for a High Energy candidate that is motivated to make a difference in the lives of our First Responders. This position requires great attention to detail, an positive attitude, and dependability.

Requirements

• Valid certification as an Ultrasound Technologist (ARDMS or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in clinical ultrasound in a hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound physics.
• Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and associated software.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the procedure.
• Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient caseload.
• Sonographer must be willing to work in both a medical office setting and travel on occasional mobile runs.
