Assistant Kennel Technician (Entry-Level)

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Assistant Technician to join our team. This is an entry-level position that supports the daily operations of our facility. No experience is necessary—we are willing to train the right person!

Minimum Age: 16 years old or older.

Position Details

• Temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent if it’s a good fit for both the employee and the company.
• Schedule: Thursdays and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM (start and end times are somewhat flexible).
• Sundays: 10:00am- 4pm
• This is an on-call position on Thursdays and Fridays, but schedules are typically provided at least two weeks in advance whenever possible.

Important Information:

This position does not involve directly handling or interacting with dogs during the initial employment period. Employees must successfully complete the probationary period, pass a background check, and demonstrate the ability to follow company procedures before being considered for additional responsibilities involving dogs.

Job Duties

• Clean and sanitize kennels, suites, play areas, and equipment.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect the facility.
• Wash food and water bowls.
• Do laundry, including dog bedding, towels, and cleaning cloths.
• Restock cleaning and pet care supplies.
• Empty trash and keep the facility clean and organized.
• Prepare supplies for trainers and technicians.
• Assist with general facility organization and maintenance.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Weekend availability is required.
