Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Brazer to join our team and contribute to our manufacturing processes. This role involves performing brazing using a gas torch on copper materials and assembling valves and components onto compressors and evaporators. The position requires collaboration with various departments to ensure efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform brazing using a gas torch on copper materials with filler metals.
- Assemble valves and components onto compressors and evaporators.
- Use generic power tools, hand tools, and saws effectively.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and shop orders.
- Conduct first article inspections and report any defects or issues.
- Perform dimensional inspections and checks to print.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Collaborate with team members across shifts and departments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and problem-solving.
- Use ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools to track production and inventory.
- Train across different areas and support other shifts as needed.
Essential Skills
- Brazing or welding school program completion.
- Experience with power tools and hand tools for assembly.
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift 45+ lbs and stand for 90% of the day.
- Must be able to see the full spectrum of colors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Candidates with brazing experience are a plus, especially from plumbing or manufacturing backgrounds.
- Blueprint reading ability from school or on-the-job experience.

Work Environment
Work in an air-conditioned manufacturing facility where you will need to lift and move up to 45 pounds, with tasks requiring standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching as needed. Use of Personal Protection Equipment, including steel-toed shoes, is required. The position offers an 8-hour shift within the timeframe of 5 AM to 4 PM, with the potential for a 4-day workweek in the future. Minimal to no overtime is expected initially.

- Read work instructions, blueprints, and installation directions.
- Gather necessary materials for assembly.
- Properly build equipment and test performance prior to audits.
- Upfit and build truck components using hand and power tools such as drills, rivet guns, saws, crimpers, and cutting tools.
- Assemble and install van packages, electrical components, shelving systems, ladder racks, and other mechanical items.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools.
- Mechanical assembly experience, particularly in automotive or truck builds.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
- 2+ years of mechanical experience in assembling, building, upfitting, or repairing trucks.
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Valid Driver's License.
Shift and Pay
- M-F
- 1st shift: 6am to 4:30pm M-Thursday
- $24-28/hour
