An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in a resource setting on a contract basis through May 2027. This rewarding position centers on fostering student growth, delivering personalized instruction, and collaborating with a passionate educational team in the Scottsdale, AZ area.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Current Arizona Special Education Certification
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Card
- Previous experience working with middle school students in a resource or similar special education capacity
- Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instructional support and interventions as outlined in students’ IEPs
- Modify general education curriculum to meet students’ unique academic, social, and emotional needs
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding special education
- Monitor and track progress, regularly updating IEPs and communicating with stakeholders
- Foster an inclusive, supportive environment where all students can thrive
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing team collaboration
- Utilize data and feedback to refine instructional strategies and promote student success
