Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year A bit about us: We are on the hunt for a seasoned HR Generalist with a strong background in the construction industry. This is a permanent role where the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of Human Resources within our progressive engineering firm. The HR Generalist will be a key player in driving our recruitment strategy, managing employee relations, and overseeing training and development. They will also play a critical role in hiring, onboarding, policy development, and talent management. - Develop and implement a robust recruitment strategy to meet the hiring needs of our rapidly growing engineering firm.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and background verifications.
- Lead onboarding process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition into our company.
- Develop, manage, and update HR policies in line with company objectives and legal requirements.
- Foster positive employee relations and work to solve any employee issues that surface or are brought to your attention.
- Oversee performance management processes, including performance reviews and feedback sessions.
- Implement effective training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Manage talent within the company to ensure retention and growth.
- Ensure compliance with all HR-related legal and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and external partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably within the construction or engineering industry.
- Proven experience in recruitment, training and development, performance management, and employee relations.
- Familiarity with HR policies and procedures in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficient in using HR software and databases.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is a plus.
