We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team in Tempe, Arizona. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to procurement processes while working with cutting-edge health information systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health information management and familiarity with specialized technologies.
Responsibilities:• Manage procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and secure favorable terms.
• Oversee inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to meet operational needs.
• Utilize and maintain health information systems, including EHR systems and Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA).
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory guidelines in all purchasing activities.
• Analyze purchasing trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier relationships.
• Provide support for system integration and optimization efforts, ensuring seamless functionality.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.• Proven experience in health information management and procurement processes.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA).
• Proficiency in McKesson and IBM AS/400 systems.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Ability to analyze data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards in purchasing.
• Previous experience in a similar Buyer role preferred.
