Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our Mesa office. The ideal candidate is adaptable, motivated, has a polished, professional demeanor and presentation while possessing small company/multi-entity public or corporate accounting experience. This role requires a strong commitment to confidentiality, exceptional organizational skills and a high level of accuracy. Effective communication abilities and a client-focused approach are essential. In this role as Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for a variety of client assignments in various industries and service areas.
General Accountabilities
- Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including processing accounts payable and account receivable transactions
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including reconciliations for bank, credit card and other balance sheet accounts
- Produce and analyze financial statements and reports
- Review accounting records and transactions to ensure accuracy, timeliness and proper supporting documentation
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues as they arise
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field preferred- relevant years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Certification as a Bookkeeper or QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in bookkeeping
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively
- Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to learn new skills to support diverse client needs
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments within established timeframes
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients at all organizational levels while providing bookkeeping support
- Strong proficiency in data entry, recordkeeping and computer-based systems
Skill Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, both Desktop and Online versions
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Compensation/Benefits
- Competitive compensation: $28-$30 per hour, DOE
