Fiber Optic Network Engineer

Job Description Network Operations & Monitoring - Manage and monitor fiber optic network performance to ensure uptime and reliability. - Operate and maintain a 24x7x365 Network Operations Center (NOC) environment. Network Design & Planning - Develop and implement network architecture strategies for scalability and security. - Plan upgrades and expansions for Middle Mile Broadband Network infrastructure. Security & Compliance - Apply best practices for network security and risk mitigation. - Ensure compliance with ITIL framework and organizational standards. Troubleshooting & Support - Diagnose and resolve complex network issues across MPLS, DWDM, and Cisco platforms. - Provide support for networks with 500+ managed devices and 500+ locations. Collaboration & Documentation - Work with cross-functional teams on network projects and service improvements. - Maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, incidents, and changes. Client & Stakeholder Engagement - Support clients across large geographic areas (5,000+ square miles). - Communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to: - Oversee network operations. - Ensure network security. - Lead network planning and design. Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field. CCIE Service Provider certification
