About the Industrial Sandblaster role:

Our Sandblaster is responsible for preparing the surfaces by removing rust, coatings, or other materials through an abrasive blasting process. The Sandblaster ensures that C&B's ductile iron and steel are prepared and properly cleaned to be ready for coating or finishing in accordance with C&B Piping's quality and safety standards.

What you'll be doing as the Industrial Sandblaster:

• Operating sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces of our products.
• Inspecting materials before and after blasting to ensure surfaces meet required quality standards.
• Load and position parts safely within blasting area and equipment.
• Maintain proper blasting pressure and abrasive levels.
• Follow all safety guidelines related to blasting equipment, ventilation systems, and always wearing the proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Supporting other production or finishing tasks as needed.
• Maintaining general housekeeping of the blasting area and equipment.
• Report any and all equipment issues, defects, or safety concerns.
• Assisting with materials utilizing forklifts or other equipment when required.

Work and/or Education experience for the Industrial Sandblaster role:

• High School diploma or GED Preferred.
• Previous experience in an Industrial sandblasting environment is a plus!
• STRONG safety awareness for yourself and others, no exceptions.
• Must be able to read a measuring tape and use basic mathematical skills.
• Forklift experience is a plus!

Physical and Work Environment:

• Exposure to the outside elements, louder environment at times, dust, and heavy equipment in an Industrial Environment.
• Ability to bend and stand for long periods of time.
• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50+lbs and more with the proper equipment.
• This position is an on-site role within our plant - (Not remote or Hybrid) located in GILBERT, ARIZONA.
