Product Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Product Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. Candidate must have strong hands‑on experience in L2/L3 production support for ETL, Java applications, and BI systems, a key qualification required for this role.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $52/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Product Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Designing scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka to support large‑scale application requirements.

• Building high‑quality unit and integration tests using JUnits and Mockito to ensure strong code coverage and reliability.

• Troubleshooting complex issues across test and production environments to maintain system stability and performance.

• Collaborating with product owners to prioritize sprint tasks and align development activities with business and technical goals.

• Optimizing application performance using tools like Dynatrace and ensuring readiness for cloud‑native deployments.

• Contributing to CI/CD processes using Git, Maven/Gradle, Docker, and Kubernetes to support continuous development and delivery.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• 5+ years of large‑scale Java backend development.

• Strong hands‑on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and test automation using JUnits and Mockito.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues and support cloud‑native environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and related DevOps tooling.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $52.00 per hour
