Swanson Rink's growing Technology team designs the telecommunications infrastructure that supports low voltage IP based equipment, connections and technology throughout a building, or campus environment. These systems support video surveillance, access control, audio video, wireless and network infrastructures. Your Job Responsibilities:

• Design telecommunications cable infrastructure to support IP based connections including Voice, Data, Wi-Fi, Audio Visual, CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection. This includes detailed internal building layouts, as well as exterior campus connectivity.
• Design electronic security systems including Video Surveillance and Analytics, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection.
• Design specifications, configuration, and commissioning of large scale local, integrated, and network-based systems.
• Regularly interact with clients, engineers, and architects, as well as construction teams to proactively solve problems.
• Provide construction oversite, including specification and contract drawing compliance, conduct site visits and formulate construction observation reports.
• Stay up to date on the latest technology and trends in the industry.

Requirements:

Your Requirements and Qualifications:

• Fundamental understanding of low voltage cabling system concepts, and general construction practices.
• Long term goals should include pursuit of BICSI RCDD credentials.
• Must be available to travel occasionally.
• Requires the ability to pass background checks, security screenings or drug testing as required by our clients and/or Federal contracts.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

What Puts You a Step Ahead:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university
• Knowledgeable in industry standards including TIA/EIA, BICSI and IEEE
• BICSI Certified Installer
• BICSI RCDD
• BICSI DCDC

Salary range of $72,500 to $75,000 and will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
