Production Worker
Packaging Line Worker
As a Packaging Line Worker, you will be responsible for stocking and sorting product and packaging supplies, measuring and examining materials to ensure they meet established standards, and inspecting specifications before packaging. Your role will involve placing materials into containers, sealing them, and removing any damaged materials. You will also transfer materials between work areas, clean and sterilize equipment, report issues to management, and assist in other duties as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Stock and sort product and packaging supplies such as film, boxes, lids, bottles, ink, and labels.
- Measure and examine materials and finished products to ensure conformance to established standards.
- Inspect lot numbers, expiration dates, and other specifications before packaging.
- Place materials into containers, cartons, and boxes.
- Seal containers or boxes using hands, fasteners, tape, and hand tools.
- Remove damaged or otherwise inferior materials or packing supplies.
- Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas.
- Clean and sterilize the equipment and tools as specified.
- Provide information or indication of problems to management or quality assurance.
- Report to work regularly and on time.
- Perform duties safely and report unsafe conditions or actions.
- Assist in other duties as needed and directed.
Essential Skills:
- Experience in warehouse packing and inventory management.
- Attention to detail and ability to monitor for quality.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Ability to stand, squat, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Problem sensitivity and good judgment.
- Knowledge of food production processing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in cleaning equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
- Ability to work well with others.

Work Environment:
The work environment is dynamic and may expose employees to noise and airborne particles, including some allergens. Tasks need to be completed within specific time frames, which may create a sense of time pressure to meet deadlines. The first shift operates from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
