Summary of Position:

This position is responsible for providing technical assistance and oversight to all CNC machinists. This position also must operate the manual equipment. This position is for 2nd shift on the CNC Lathes. This position is in Northstar's Manufacturing Department, and reports to the Production Supervisor. The position works with all levels of employees throughout the organization as necessary, but does not direct the work of other employees. This is a full-time position.

• Assist teammates with technical issues
• Perform precision machining operations on aerospace hardware
• Provides technical oversight and assist with all setup activities on CNC equipment
• Helps schedule resources in areas to ensure daily work is achieved
• Maintain highly efficient work process using Lean principles to support cost reduction activity
• Responsible for operating various CNC machines and equipment

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will not direct the work of any other employees.

• Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing and seeing

• Visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of product and/or parts
• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles

• The ability to wear proper personal protective equipment, including earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, etc.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent experience

Experience Required: 5 years' experience with CNC aerospace machining
