Summary

A leading telecommunications and national infrastructure services organization specializing in end-to-end communications, electrical, and data-center construction solutions is seeking a Director of ISP to lead its growing Data Center Division in Phoenix, AZ .

This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all inside-plant (ISP) structured cabling, installation, and commissioning operations across active and new-build data centers. The Director of ISP will serve as both the executive operational leader and primary client-facing authority for ISP projects, ensuring excellence in execution, safety, quality, and profitability.

Position Overview

The Director of ISP will lead and scale the ISP organization, managing project delivery, technical execution, and team performance while ensuring strict adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and financial targets.

This leader will guide technicians, foremen, site supervisors, and project coordinators while partnering closely with executive leadership and business development to support expansion across Arizona and other strategic markets.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of ISP construction projects across multiple data-center clients and campuses
• Drive accountability for project schedules, budgets, quality, and safety performance
• Oversee structured cabling, fiber, copper, and power-adjacent ISP deployments in live and new-build environments

Team & People Management

• Manage, mentor, and develop field leaders including foremen, site supervisors, and project managers
• Ensure proper workforce planning, staffing levels, and resource allocation
• Establish performance expectations and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary client-facing leader for hyperscale and enterprise data-center customers
• Ensure exceptional customer responsiveness, communication, and satisfaction
• Act as the operational escalation point for high-visibility programs

Financial & Strategic Oversight

• Own divisional performance including P&L responsibility ($75M–$150M) , margins, backlog, and forecasting
• Partner with the CCO and Business Development teams to support proposals, pursuits, and geographic expansion
• Coordinate with cross-functional leaders (OSP, Electrical, Finance, and BD) to align execution with company strategy

Standards, Safety & Process

• Ensure compliance with all data-center safety, security, and operational protocols
• Develop, maintain, and enforce ISP Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for deployment, testing, and documentation
• Oversee material procurement, logistics, and vendor coordination
