Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement with 2 weekends per 4-week schedule
• Night shift positions available with first priority for floating assignments
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on 49-bed telemetry unit
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts prior to contract signing
• One shift of unit-specific orientation provided
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
• Charting system: Cerner (recommended to have experience due to limited orientation)
• Must be able to read and interpret basic telemetry strips and sign at least once per shift
• Care for patients with CHF, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, post-catheterization, and total joint replacement
• Experience required with CVA, TIA, and total joint replacement patients
• May float to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified
• Work with respiratory equipment including BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatments
• Holiday requirement: work 2 days and an eve or 2 eves and a day for Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving
• No call or standby requirements
• 4-week self-scheduling with manager approval
• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks)
