Responsibilities

• Drive seniors to appointments, meetings, and church services
• Keep your client beautiful assisting with bathing and grooming
• Restore dignity with thoughtful incontinence care management
• Light housekeeping to reduce stress in the home
• Keep seniors healthy with meal preparation
• Avoid hospital readmissions with medication reminders
• Keep seniors out of danger with memory care safety
• Assist with physical therapy exercises

Qualifications

Tucson sits in a high-desert valley ringed by the Catalina, Rincon, and Tucson Mountains. Caregivers here often work across the Foothills, Central Tucson, and the East Side — three areas with very different client populations. The Aviation Parkway and I-10 keep cross-town travel reasonable, and many home-care visits cluster within a single quadrant. HHAs may work under the direction of a care manager or registered nurse to provide non-medical care that supports a client’s health plan. That includes medication reminders (not administration), monitoring vitals like blood pressure and pulse, helping with mobility and exercises, and noting changes in the client’s condition for the nurse to follow up. The clinical structure is there, but the day is centered around the home.
