How You'll Contribute
A Director of Respiratory Therapist who excels in this role:
- Direct the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
- Direct and evaluate departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
- Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets, and ensure that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
- Coordinate and direct internal/external audits.
- Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth.
- Integrate evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
- Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards
- Responsible for hiring, training and development, performance reviews, and administering corrective actions for staff.

What We're Looking For
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in related field. Additional requirements include:
- Valid and current state board of respiratory care license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
