Location: Surprise, AZ.
Pay Rate: $15.68/hr | Hourly, Non-Exempt.
Schedule: 20 hrs per week 7:30am-12:30pm Monday through Friday.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a caring and reliable individual to join our team as a Teacher’s Assistant–Kitchen Aide in our early childhood program. In this dual-role position, you’ll play a vital part in supporting classroom environments and helping ensure children receive healthy meals that meet all CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) requirements.

You’ll assist Lead Teachers with classroom duties, help create a nurturing, respectful, and inclusive environment, and contribute to daily routines that support child development. In the kitchen, you’ll be responsible for safely preparing and serving meals, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting compliance with health and nutrition guidelines.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, values teamwork, and is passionate about fostering safe, healthy learning spaces.

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; candidates currently pursuing completion are encouraged to apply.
• REQUIRED: At least 1 year of experience in early childhood education or related experience (e.g., volunteering, nannying, kitchen or food service support in a childcare setting).
• Ability to reliably commute or plan to relocate to the Peoria/Sun City/Surprise, AZ area prior to start (no relocation assistance).
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to support multiple classrooms as needed.
• Must obtain or possess the following certifications (Benevilla assists with costs):
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (Pediatric preferred).
  • Negative TB Test or Chest X-ray.
  • Food Handler’s Certification.
  • Article 9 Certification.

Annual Training Requirement:

• Completion of a minimum of 18 clock hours of annual training in early childhood/child development, including topics related to the age group served.
