Job Description
The Framing & Trim Carpenter plays a vital role in residential construction projects, specializing in framing structures and installing trim work such as cabinets, doors, and windows. This position involves working within a small team of 2-5 people and requires regular travel to various job sites. The carpenter uses a combination of manual and power tools to measure, cut, and install materials with precision and care.
Responsibilities
- Perform framing and trim installation following project specifications
- Measure and cut materials accurately to fit project requirements
- Handle and manage construction materials efficiently
- Maintain and operate both manual and power tools safely
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings for layout and installation
- Prepare job sites by arranging materials and setting up equipment
- Install cabinets, doors, windows, drywall, and insulation as needed
- Collaborate within a small team to complete residential projects
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of carpentry experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in carpentry techniques and woodworking
- Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting layouts
- Strong measuring and layout abilities
- Experience in tool operation and maintenance
- Excellent attention to detail and physical stamina
- Effective time management and communication skills
- Problem-solving aptitude on site
