NEW OPPORTUNITY: Regional VP of Operations
Overseeing 9 locations • $100M+ annual budget • High-growth commercial roofing division
*Must be located in the western united states (Colorado, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Washington, Oregon or California)
Step into a high-impact executive role leading operations across a major Western region footprint. With responsibility for 9 locations and a $100M+ budget, this position offers the chance to drive strategy, elevate performance, and shape the future of a rapidly expanding commercial roofing organization. Projects span large-scale commercial construction, industrial facilities, distribution centers, hospitality, retail, multifamily, green roofing systems, and major exterior renovations.
Function:
The VP of Operations leads day-to-day operations, financial performance, and project execution across the region, reporting directly to the President.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all construction operations to ensure projects align with design, budget, and schedule
Manage and adjust budgets, approve invoices, ensure subcontractor payments, and conduct site visits
Lead regular meetings with project managers, superintendents, and foremen to drive alignment and performance
Identify training needs and implement programs for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
Review and analyze financial reports; prepare and recommend budget modifications
Document gaps between budget and actual performance
Recruit, train, retain, and develop top-tier talent
Learn, teach, and uphold best practices for roofing installation, including manufacturer training
Ensure strict adherence to OSHA and internal safety standards
Stay current on codes, materials, and design requirements
Maintain oversight of multiple simultaneous projects with calm and clarity
Evaluate and improve work measurement and performance standards
Requirements:
15+ years in operations and/or project management with a commercial roofing contractor
Proven experience managing P&L
Deep knowledge of commercial roofing systems, products, and installation methods
Strong ability to identify, correct, and report unsafe conditions per OSHA standards
Sharp attention to detail and quality in inspections
Ability to collect, analyze, and leverage data for operational improvements
Strong cross-department collaboration and leadership skills
Skilled at solving complex problems and making balanced decisions
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
