Pallet/Crate Builder - Afternoon Shift

2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Responsible for building crates, cutting lumber, working in shipping/receiving.

• Properly cut, assemble, and build wood frame shipping crates.

• Build and repair wood crates and cardboard U-Channels

• Perform other job duties as assigned

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• General construction experience

• Experience using basic hand and power tools

• Ability to read a tape measure and make accurate cuts

• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working in a warehouse setting

• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize work throughout the day based on operational needs

• Perform other duties as assigned

It’d be great if you also have:

• Woodworking experience

• Carpentry skills

• Shipping and receiving experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift up to 50 lbs.

• Walk, stand, bend, reach above shoulder level, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel

• Work with wood, tools and packaging materials throughout the shift
