Maintenance Mechanic

The core responsibilities of this role include: Maintain and repair the warehouse vehicles including all forklift, trailers, conveyors, embroidery machines, DTF machines and other power and customization equipment. Provide mechanical support, including diagnosis and solution, for a dedicated delivery system, including preventative maintenance, major repairs, and accident repairs. Also responsible for the general maintenance of the building and facilities including water, heating, air conditioning, and electrical maintenance.
Position: First Shift Maintenance Mechanic
Shift: M-F 5AM-1:30PM
Pay: 24.30
In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience: Perform all repairs on forklifts, conveyors, maintenance equipment and other warehouse power equipment. Perform all repairs on embroidery machines, DTF machines, and other customization equipment. Perform preventative maintenance programs on all machines and equipment to ensure service reliability.-Review pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms for immediate maintenance requirements.-Ensure all maintenance work performed both internally and externally is performed to company standards. Monitor vehicle condition and performance to ensure driver compliance of company driving policies. Manage parts inventory at the most economic level for efficient operation of the system.

Role Purpose :

Provide mechanical support, including diagnosis and solution, for a dedicated delivery system including preventative maintenance, major repairs, and accident repairs. Also responsible for the general maintenance of the building and facilities including water, heating, air conditioning, and electrical maintenance.
Key Accountabilities :
- Schedule daily maintenance work.
- Perform all repairs on forklifts, conveyors, maintenance equipment and other warehouse power equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance programs on all machines and equipment to ensure service reliability.
- Review pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms for immediate maintenance requirements.
- Ensure all maintenance work performed both internally and externally is performed to company standards.
- Monitor vehicle condition and performance to ensure driver compliance of company driving policies.
- Manage parts inventory at the most economic level for efficient operation of the system.
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
- Maintain HVAC system.
- Do minor maintenance as needed for water and electrical repairs.
- Carry out preventative maintenance programs.
- Perform maintenance or general carpentry on items such as floors, walls, doors, etc.
- Ensure all safety equipment is in proper working order.
- Complete required reports when maintenance tasks are completed.
- Answer security/alarm calls as needed.
Required Education and Experience :
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Pass Department of Transportation exam
- Pass a mechanical aptitude test
- 2+ years of previous facility maintenance experience
- 6 months related experience
- 2-5 years equipment maintenance experience
- 1 year of fleet experience
