Network Construction Manager

Akkodis is seeking a Network Construction Manager for a Contract role with a client in Chandler / Phoenix, AZ . The ideal candidate must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications and safety standards.

Rate Range: $35/hour to $39/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Network Construction Manager job responsibilities include:

• Work directly with Fiber Engineers from project qualification through punch‑list and closeout.

• Manage external vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely, high‑quality, and budget‑compliant project delivery.

• Conduct constructability reviews aligned with engineering specifications and requirements.

• Develop construction bid packages and competitively bid projects to qualified subcontractors.

• Oversee permitting and construction plan development; coordinate with local/state agencies for licensing and approvals.

• Order, track, and manage delivery of third‑party materials and required project components.

• Oversee field construction activities and manage contractor schedules to satisfy customer and internal expectations.

• Attend internal and client‑facing project status meetings.

Desired Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).

• Minimum 2‑year technical degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

• Valid driver’s license required.

• 1–3 years of construction experience.

• 1–3 years telecommunications construction experience preferred.

• 3+ years supervisory contractor management experience preferred.

• Knowledge of OSP construction techniques (aerial & underground).

• Familiarity with testing equipment such as OTDR, RF Sweep, Optical Power Meter, PIM testing, grounding/bonding tests (preferred).

• Working knowledge of NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards (preferred).

Other Skills / Abilities:

• BSCE degree or equivalent experience (preferred).

• Excellent organizational and administrative skills.

• Strong project management abilities with attention to detail.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint).

• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, problem‑solving environment.

• Strong communication skills and basic telecommunications knowledge.

• PMP certification is a plus.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $39.00 per hour
