Network Deployment Technician, GND-NASA-Deploy
• Installation and configuration of routers, switches and DWDM hardware.
• Troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling, network installations and configuration.
• Coordinating colocation remote hands for new capacity installations.
• Work cross functionally with internal partners to deliver network capacity projects.
• Resolving data center and facility issues.
• Identify, coordinate, and remediate outside plant (OSP) connectivity issues.
• Lead small to mid-size network deployment projects.
• Building relationships with remote teams to ensure swift response times to events.
• Performing site audits to ensure safety and quality meets AWS standards.
• Improving all operational processes within each site and/or cage.
• Providing status updates to stakeholders via internal tools.
• Decommissioning of cable and network hardware in collaboration with partner teams as needed.
• Physical Requirements (all physical requirements may be done with reasonable accommodations). This position has a physical component requiring the ability to lift & rack equipment up to 40lbs; it may require working in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
• This role may involve up to 50% travel; the vast majority is local travel but may have the potential to include domestic and international travel to support the organization. About the team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of computer networking experience- 2+ years of Linux operating systems experience
- Experience in computer networking
- Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience in a relevant technical discipline.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Can work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
- Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
