Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 opportunity is available for experienced Teachers for the Visually Impaired in Scottsdale, AZ. This contract position supports students who are visually impaired across the school year (CSY), providing vital specialized instruction designed to enhance educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and support to visually impaired students K-12, promoting academic and social development.
• Utilize specialized skills and techniques to assess student needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to create effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Participate in interviews as scheduled; candidates must provide specific availability due to firm scheduling preferences.
• Maintain regular on-site presence to support students' learning environment effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Arizona Teaching License required.
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Experience working with visually impaired students in an educational setting.
• Ability to commit to onsite work with part-time hours, typically a few hours per week.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to provide precise interview availability.
