Assistant Community Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Assistant Community Manager at OPTIM, you will play a key role in the daily operations and overall success of our apartment community in Chandler, AZ. Reporting to the Business Manager, you will support the direction, coordination, and evaluation of the community and its employees. This role ensures the property remains financially stable, well-maintained, and provides an exceptional experience for residents.
The ideal candidate is a persuasive communicator who can build strong relationships with residents and team members, while also being detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in solving problems. Success in this role requires the ability to think on your feet, adapt quickly, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the apartment community and its employees in the absence of the Business Manager or as directed by the Business Manager
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws
- Read and interpret documents such as leases, addendums to leases, pertinent move-in/move-out paperwork, and various legal notices to residents
- Write routine reports and correspondence
- Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percentages
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; resolve problems involving several variables in standardized situations
- Utilize Word, Excel, Internet, Microsoft Outlook, accounting software, YARDI software, and social media platforms
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance, including reporting to work on time
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.
- At least 1 year of related property management, leasing, or administrative experience.
- Yardi experience required (please note on resume)
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and social media platforms.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Completion of a basic accounting principles course is preferred.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Compensation: $25.00 - $29.00 an hour based on experience
Bonus: Quarterly bonus

Schedule: This is a full-time role with hours scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities may be required based on business needs.
