Manufacturing Manager Repair Operations
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. Role purpose (position scope):
The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading and managing all operational activities within an FAA Part 145 Repair Station specializing in avionics, audio systems, and radio communication products. This role oversees repair operations, quality coordination, workforce leadership, scheduling, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure safe, compliant, efficient, and on-time delivery of products and services.
The ideal candidate is a strong operational leader with extensive experience in aerospace manufacturing and repair environments, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across engineering, quality, supply chain, production, and customer support functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership
- Lead daily operations of the FAA Part 145 Repair Station to ensure safety, quality, compliance, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved.
- Manage repair, overhaul, and testing, activities for avionics, audio, and radio communication systems.
- Develop and execute operational strategies that improve productivity, efficiency, throughput, and customer satisfaction.
- Establish performance metrics and drive accountability across all operational teams.
- Ensure production schedules and customer commitments are met while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with FAA Part 145 regulations, AS9100 standards, company procedures, and customer requirements.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance and Regulatory teams to maintain audit readiness and continuous compliance.
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits and implement corrective actions when necessary.

- Optimize operational processes, workflows, inventory management, and resource utilization.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for operational inefficiencies and quality issues.
- Utilize KPIs and operational data to improve performance and decision-making.
- Manage labor planning, capacity planning, and operational resource allocation.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Materials teams to ensure material availability and minimize downtime.
- Monitor operational budgets, labor efficiency, and cost performance.
- Support forecasting and strategic planning activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Aviation Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 710 years of leadership experience in aerospace manufacturing, avionics repair, or FAA Part 145 environments.
- Working knowledge of FAA Part 145 regulations and aerospace quality systems.
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional operational teams.
- Preferred experience with avionics, audio systems, radio communications, or aerospace electronic products.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, repair station processes, and production planning.
- Demonstrated success leading process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- AS9100 experience strongly preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing metrics.
- Familiarity with aerospace testing and electronic troubleshooting environments.
- Prior experience supporting military or commercial aerospace customers.

Reporting Structure
Reports to: Vice President of Operations
Direct Reports: Repair Supervisor, Leads, Repair Technicians, Operations Staff
Physical Demands:
- Tasks involve light physical effort in sedentary to light work; may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects or materials (5 10 lbs.)
- Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation
