Warehouse

Role Qualifications : Must be able to perform duties associated with Warehouse Worker Level-1 description and assist the Lead in improving working conditions (safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity).

Position Summary: A Warehouse Worker-1 is responsible for many warehouse functions including cleaning and organizing outside & inside storage areas, re-stock part bins/racks/baskets, also box-up & bag stocking kits. The position requires a strong work ethic, self-motivation, efficiency, safe equipment, and tool operation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that all steel parts, part bins, and bolt bins are fully stocked along with all outside racks.
• Use band saw to cut pipes, angles, tubes, or beams to required lengths to fill stock levels.
• Continuously inspect storage areas for materials (pipes, angles, tubes, beams, plates, lumber) that are misplaced.
• Make sure all scattered pallets, metal baskets, and dunnage are picked up and placed in designated storage areas. Use forklift, chain saw, reciprocating saw, chop saw as needed to resize, move, break down items.
• Empty full or smelling garbage/trash cans daily/weekly in the warehouse and restrooms.
• Use a blower to keep outside areas clean. Use brooms, vacuums, and dustpans to keep inside areas clean.
• Keep all aisles and runways clean and clear of clutter or debris.
• Assist in packaging items in bags, boxes, or pallets in accordance to provided instructions and assembly drawings.
• Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus.
• Record all necessary information and submit daily reports according to the procedure.

Qualification/Requirements:

• Preferred education, a high school diploma or GED or equivalent highly desired.
• Must have basic math skills, be able to read a tape measure, and use other measuring devices.
• Must be able to operate the following tools/equipment well: backpack blower, chain saw, wood chop saw, steel band saw, and be capable of properly mixing fuel and refueling units.
• Must be punctual and have excellent attendance, be able to work at least 40 hrs per week, be available to work overtime when necessary.
• Demonstrate ability to be detail-oriented, verbal directions, and utilize time efficiently.
• Must be able to pass forklift certification and operate forklifts in a safe manner w/ limited supervision and have a valid ODL is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• This position requires Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp, push, reach overhead, and outward frequently. Also requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs on regular basis and stand or walk up to 10 hours per day.
• Occasional work outside in various weather conditions and work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate to high noise levels.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
