Job Summary
The Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Superintendent to oversee construction projects in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Superintendent will manage all on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to deliver projects that align with our clients vision and The Companys commitment to excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Oversight: Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
Team Leadership: Supervise and direct subcontractors, craft workers, and project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Quality Control: Implement The Companys Corporate Quality Control approach, monitoring and documenting procurement, fabrication, and construction processes to ensure compliance with design and regulatory standards.
Safety Management: Enforce strict safety protocols, conducting regular site inspections to ensure a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA and Scottsdale, Arizona regulations.
Scheduling and Coordination: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and completion of tasks.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve issues related to construction processes, logistics, or resource allocation, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and other project documentation, ensuring all activities are recorded for final acceptance by the owner.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role, with a proven track record in managing commercial construction projects (e.g., retail, office buildings, renovations, or tenant build-outs), preferably in Scottsdale or the greater Phoenix area.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelors degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field preferred.
Licensing: Valid Arizona drivers license and ability to obtain relevant construction certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR) if not already certified.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes specific to Scottsdale, Arizona.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, or similar).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under tight deadlines.
