Who We Are Looking For:
The Assistant Director of Operations is a key leadership role responsible for supporting and executing the strategic direction of the Day Operations Division. This position works closely with the Director of Operations, gaining exposure to high-level decisions, operational planning, and leadership development in preparation for a future Director role. The Assistant Director will provide direct support and coaching to Route Managers, oversee startups, drive accountability for service performance, and develop programs that strengthen operational excellence across the organization.

How You Can Help Us Grow:
Leadership & Team Development

• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and guidance to Route Managers, Supervisors, and field teams.
• Ensure Route Managers are trained, supported, and held accountable for quality, communication, labor management, and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, route audits, performance reviews, and growth plans for Route Managers.
• Build a positive culture rooted in teamwork, communication, and operational ownership.

Operational Excellence

• Lead building startups, account transitions, and new customer onboarding for night operations.
• Monitor and analyze operational trends, labor performance, supply usage, and quality metrics to identify areas of improvement.
• Respond quickly to service issues and troubleshoot recurring challenges with effective and sustainable solutions.
• Oversee and address watchlist accounts through proactive check-ins, improvement plans, and follow-up inspections.
• Ensure consistent application of company processes, safety standards, and customer requirements.

Innovation & Program Development

• Design and implement new operational programs, tools, and systems to improve efficiency, communication, training, and accountability.
• Standardize best practices across routes and teams to reduce variation and improve results.
• Partner with the Director of Operations on strategic initiatives and division-wide improvements.

Customer Engagement

• Collaborate with Client Services to maintain strong customer relationships and issue resolution.
• Attend customer walkthroughs, meetings, and presentations as needed to represent night operations and ensure alignment with customer expectations.

Future Leadership Development

• Participate in high-level discussions, planning meetings, and decision-making processes to build readiness for succession into a Director role.
• Act as a secondary leader and decision-maker in the Director’s absence.

Your Background:

• 5+ years of leadership experience in operations, facilities, or service-based teams (janitorial industry preferred).
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop field managers or frontline teams.
• Strong problem-solving, situational leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, nighttime operational environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
