PDI ADVISOR

At Peoria Ford, we believe in delivering vehicles that exceed customer expectations before they even leave the lot. As part of our commitment to quality and service excellence, we’re looking for a PDI Advisor to manage and oversee our Pre-Delivery Inspection process, ensuring every vehicle is inspected when delivered for any and all damage, vehicles are accessorized, and delivered on time and in pristine condition. Benefits Responsibilities * Key Responsibilities * Coordinate and schedule PDI work for new and used vehicles * Perform detailed checks on incoming vehicles for damage, completeness, and compliance with manufacturer standards * Communicate with technicians to ensure timely completion of PDI work, accessory installations, and recalls * Verify all work has been completed before vehicle delivery, including cleaning, fueling, and quality checks * Maintain communication with sales and inventory managers regarding vehicle status and delivery timelines * Track and report PDI productivity, delivery readiness, and workflow efficiency * Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and internal processes * Process all necessary paperwork and system entries for completed inspections * Collaborate with parts department to ensure timely availability of required accessories or components * Support continuous improvement initiatives within the PDI process Qualifications * Prior experience in automotive service or dealership operations preferred * Strong organizational and time management skills * Working knowledge of DMS systems (e.g., CDK) is a plus * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment * Detail-oriented and quality-focused * Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
