Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Space Systems is searching for a Principal Electrical Engineer (Level 3) to be part of our Integration and Test team in Launch Vehicles, at our Chandler, AZ facility. This position will be 100% on-site in Chandler.\n\nJob Responsibilities\n\nThe candidate will serve as an Integration and Test Principal Electrical Engineer for the GPI program, requiring the candidate to function in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment. Daily responsibilities may require direct contact with launch vehicle flight hardware and electrical ground support equipment. Specific duties may include:\n\n * Establish Space Systems system tools to be used for program execution\n\n * Performing hands-on electrical testing at a systems level\n\n * Developing/maintaining procedures for the assembly and test of launch vehicle systems\n\n * Incorporating hardware and/or software design changes\n\n * Documenting \u0026 dispositioning hardware discrepancies, pursuing root cause \u0026 corrective actions\n\n * Some planning and scheduling of day-to-day tasks\n\n * Constant and timely communication with other team members\n\n * Transferring knowledge to less experienced I\u0026T engineers\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Minimum Education / Experience: 5 Years with Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or qualifying discipline; 3 Years with Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or qualifying discipline.\n\n * Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain a U.S. Passport for travel\n\n * Requires an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope\n\n * Hands-on electrical testing and diagnostic experience\n\n * Ability to travel: Travel expectation 10-20%\n\n\n\n\nYour Distinct Strengths:\n\n * Ability to innovate and lead digital transformation efforts\n\n * Ability to lead out at solving problems and driving all tasks to completion\n\n * Ability to work at a fast pace, while multi-tasking, and still communicate effectively\n\n * Ability to work in a team environment, and lead small projects or teams\n\n * Strong written and verbal communication skills\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Experience with aerospace standards/guidelines\n\n * Experience with MES, or other digital work instruction platform\n\n * Experience working with operational hazards such as propulsive devices, pressurized systems, overhead lifting, and high voltage systems\n\n * Experience with external customer interfacing including meetings, presentations \u0026 negotiations\n\n * Experience performing formal requirements decomposition and/or verification\n\n\n\n\nNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
