Plumber – $24/hr. | Contract-to-Hire | Tucson, AZ

Job Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Plumber to join our facilities team at a large research park in Tucson, AZ. This is a contract-to-hire role paying $24/hr . You’ll handle a variety of plumbing tasks, respond to work orders, and assist with general facilities maintenance.

The ideal candidate has strong plumbing skills, familiarity with commercial systems, and a willingness to support other building maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including water, waste, and gas lines.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform preventative maintenance on plumbing, pumps, piping, drains, and other utilities equipment.
• Read blueprints and drawings to understand system layouts.
• Cut, assemble, and install pipes with care for existing infrastructure.
• Repair or replace drainage lines, faucets, domestic appliances, and fixtures.
• Operate plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, cutters, jetters, snakes).
• Support general building maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Stay organized and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a plumber in a commercial setting.
• Understanding of water distribution and sewer systems.
• Ability to review service requests and execute appropriate solutions.
• Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems (hot water, chilled water, hydronic piping) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus.
• High school diploma or trade school certification; valid plumbing license or certifications required.
• Safety-conscious with knowledge of PPE requirements.
