Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Director Software Engineering for its Phoenix, AZ location.

Duties: Builds and leads an organization of high-performing engineering managers, architects, and engineers. Conceptualizes and implements Citizens' technology product strategy. Partners with cross functional team members to align product and technology. Creates a culture of strong technical ownership, resulting in highly reliable products and services at scale. Inspires and leads teams to develop, launch, and implement novel solutions to fraud prevention.

Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field, followed by eight (8) years of progressive experience in the role or in a related position. Full term of experience must include: Utilizing Microservice development and design patterns, NoSQL Databases, AWS Cloud, and CICD pipeline; Provides technical direction to business and IT stakeholders to enable development of efficient of cloud native applications, mapping processes and requirements into an effective solution, utilizing industry standards, best practices, guardrail compliance and technical expertise; Supports full software development life cycle, including business requirements analysis, technical design, preparation of work flows, software development, test support and product implementation; Utilizes Java, J2EE, Restful APIs, Cloud Native platforms (Amazon Web Service), Python, API management, Enterprise Service Bus, GIT, DevSecOps (Jenkins), Microsoft Visio, Java spring boot framework, IBM MQ, Simple Queue, Tomcat, SOAP, and WSDL/XML software to deploy and run applications; Conducts performance monitoring, capacity planning, system tuning, availability planning, analysis and documentation of information to create the applicable statements of work and the associated deliverables; Programs in Java, Python, NODEJS, AWS, and Openshift to design, develop, and construct applications leveraging Big Data Map Reduce, Pig, Hive and Vertx; Architects cloud native applications using Microservice design patterns and 12 factor app methodologies; Builds event driven systems with Event sourcing using KAFKA; Prepares application solution design and high level class structure; and Develops Java and Python based applications to facilitate the rapid deployment of cloud infrastructure that supports client business requirements.
