Here's how a(n) Estimating Student for our Phoenix Buildings office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
Review and perform quantity survey assignment with lead estimator
Performs general sub-trade solicitation duties
Bid document control
Performs bid day assignments
Sub-trade bid reviews and recapping
Visits job sites periodically
Use of in-house estimating software (BEST Estimating)
Develops relationships with subcontractors
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Desire a career in construction Project Management, Field Supervision, or Estimating.
Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor's degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline.
Any experience using the following; On-Screen Takeoff, Microsoft Excel and Word, Revit, Acrobat, and other computer software
Required to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, with project personnel, suppliers, subcontractors and owners
Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, and perform quantity take offs
18 years of age or older
