Housing provided for $500/month
PT/30 hours 3 days a week. Monday, Tuesday and Wed 26 weeks
Degree from accredited Audiology program Au Degree • Master or Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree • CCA- preferred • Current, unrestricted and valid State license to practice, Arizona preferred • BLS
Conducts comprehensive evaluations, overall findings and diagnoses of patients through use of history and other appropriate tests 2. Administer and interpret screening, assessment, and diagnostic procedures, such as air conduction, bone conduction, speech audiometry, acoustic emittance (impedance) tests 3. Design rehabilitation programs to help patients learn to identify sounds 4. Measure hearing ability, and/or severity of hearing loss in individuals of all ages 5. Assess the benefit of amplification devices, such as hearing aids 6. Educate individuals on the use and care/maintenance of hearing aids or other assistive listening devices 7. Maintains knowledge and proficiency through continuing education, staff meetings and workshop participation 8. Participates in departmental orientation, on the job training and quality assurance programs/initiatives 9. Participates in a variety of department and hospital educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels; identifies and discusses performance or training needs with Supervisor 10. Performs other duties as required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Knowledge of the methods, practices and techniques of the field of Audiology • Skills in the assessment, evaluation and treatment of individuals • Skills associated with effective listening and communication • Skills associated with making diagnoses, choosing, initiating and modifying therapies • Ability to work with a variety of patients of varying ages • Ability to quickly change priorities based on changing requirements • Ability to apply critical thinking skills for escalation/triage to proper healthcare professional • Ability to discuss practices, techniques and procedures in lay terms • Ability to regularly change priorities to accomplish tasks with frequent interruptions • Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions
Activities are primarily performed in an environmentally controlled healthcare clinic subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking • Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of desktop computer equipment; bending, lifting, reaching, stooping and lifting up to 25 pounds. • Regularly works in an environment subject to quickly changing and often conflicting priorities while supporting leadership needs and requirements PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS • Uphold all principles of confidentiality and patient care to the fullest extent. • Adhere to all professional and ethical behavior standards of the healthcare industry. • Interact in an honest, trustworthy and respectful manner with patients, employees, visitors and vendors. • Display respect and understanding of all individual’s personal and cultural beliefs, values, ideas and contributions in a supportive manner. • Communication is vital between associates, patients, and visitors by fostering fairness and by using terms our patients/families and associates can understand. • Provide the utmost in customer service to both patients and fellow associates. • Comply with San Carlos Apache Healthcare Corporation policies and procedure
