Engineering Systems Specialist

Type : Contract, W2 only

Duration : 6+ months with possible extension

Location : onsite in Tucson, AZ (Oro Valley)

Pay : $38/hr-$42/hr max, DOE

A global biotechnology leader is seeking an Engineering Systems Specialist to apply intensive and diversified knowledge of design principles, practices and implementation in complex systems and assignments. General responsibilities include design concept generation, participating in design reviews, development and testing to assess performance against design specification; reliability testing, and assessment of system interactions; assistance with the development of manufacturing processes and troubleshooting issues to determine root cause and possible engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Learn to use company concepts, policies and procedures, become familiar with and follow standard practices.
• Work on projects of moderate scope in which analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
• Make suggestions to improve work processes.
• Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practice to determine appropriate action.
• Participate in technical team activities.
• Present and discuss data within group.
• Monitor work to ensure quality, and continuously promote Quality First Time.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Knowledge of basic and some specialized engineering techniques.
• Experience with system integration.
• Hands-on experience with equipment in a lab environment is helpful, but not required.
• Skilled with use of word processing, spreadsheets, graphical and presentation software applications.
